Starting from Relic quality in Tier 3, the quality of an armor piece or weapon can upgraded.

- Crafting or upgrading the quality of a Relic gear follows the same static odds in regards to quality, regardless of current quality. "Quality Upgrade Success Rate" shown in-game is the sum of all odds for qualities that are strictly above the current quality.
- Upgrading a gear's quality can yield one of two possible results:
- Upgrade sucessful, the quality is upgraded.
- Upgrade failed, the quality remains the same.
- Valtan and Vykas gears always have a quality of 0 when crafted.

- After landing in any quality range there is 10% chance for each quality to occur.
- Example: If we land on the quality range 91-100, we have 10% chance for 91, 10% chance for 92, 10% chance for 93, ..., 10% chance for 100. Therefore the chance of getting 100 quality is: 0.76% × 10% = 0.076%.
- Quality on Relic weapons grants additional damage. The formula is (0.1 + 0.00002x²) with x being the quality.
- Quality on Relic armors grants Vigor. Vigor grants 1% max health per 140 Vigor. The formula is (0.14x²), rounded up, with x being the quality.
