Downtime will begin on November 27, 2024 (12 AM PT / 8 AM UTC) and is expected to last 7 hours. The Holiday Awakening Update is packed with character and raid balance changes, new impactful progression events, and much more! Buzzling Island[]

Buzzling Island arrives as new island to explore. Whether you're eager to test your wings against new challenges or simply enjoy this whimsical realm, Buzzling Island promises an unforgettable expedition that's sure to leave you abuzz with excitement. Don't miss out on this hive of activity with new adventures and quests.

Buzzling Island is located left of Tortoyk in the Gienah Sea, and the recommended Item Level is 1520 or above. Players can start the quest after interacting with "Colorful Honeybees" near the island entrance. All Buzzling Island Quests can be done once per roster. When transformed into a bee, players can interact with their characters by using arrow keys. Players can challenge the Trial of Honor to join the honorable Royal Guards by competing with others in a race event.

  • Players should complete 'Source of the Sweet Smell' quest to proceed with the Trial of Honor.
  • 'Honeybee Skill Guide' in the island guides the Trial.
  • The Trial opens every hour between 10:00 AM and 4:00 AM (server time), and players can join once per roster to earn the rewards. The chance to earn rewards is reset at 6:00 AM every day. If players leave the area after participating in the trial of honor, they can no longer participate in the competition quest on the day.
  • Players can earn 'Buzzling Island race coins' and 'Buzzling Island Race Reward Chest' upon completing the trial race, and can exchange their island coins for various items, such as T4 honing materials and cards.
  • Players should meet the below conditions to start quest 'The Conspiracy Looming Over the Honeybee Kingdom':
    • Achieve Rank 1 - 5 in the trial or join the race 5 times.
    • Complete quest 'Royal Guard Examinations'.

North Kurzan Rapport[]

North Kurzan Rapport NPCs

North Kurzan Rapport has been added with 3 NPCs: Mystic, Tamut, and Ren.

  • Available after completing the quest 'The Way Forward'.
  • 5 new North Kurzan Rapport items have been added:
    • Players can exchange 'North Kurzan Rapport Item Chest' with the South Kurzan Rapport Exchange NPC.
    • New rapport items can be exchanged for Vitameow from the
    • Exchange Vitameow
    • NPC in the Stronghold.
  • Added Ren Card, Tamut Card, and 4 North Kurzan Rapport items to the North Kurzan wandering merchant 'Colvin'.
  • Players can exchange 'North Kurzan Rapport Chest' from the South Kurzan Rapport exchange NPC. In addition, these new rapport items can be changed to 'Vitameow' from the 'Exchange Vitameow' in the stronghold.

Pet Ability System[]

The Pet Ability System has been added, allowing pets to provide specific benefits when stationed at the Security Division. Here's a breakdown of how it works.

Pet Ability Training[]

Pets can learn abilities through Ability Training at the Stronghold Ranch, with abilities available in three grades: Rare, Epic, and Legendary, offering increasingly powerful effects. Abilities are specific to Security Division placements, with the Ranch providing battle-related effects, the Farm focusing on farm-related effects, and the Dock supporting stronghold activities like Dispatch and Craft. These abilities only activate when the pet is placed in the appropriate Security Division area that matches its ability type. You can check your pet's abilities in the Pet Inventory or the Security Division.

Ability Training Process[]

The Ability Training Process includes two training slots by default, with an extra slot available through the Crystalline Aura Plus service, and resets daily at 6:00 AM. Each slot gets one ability training per day. Regular Training (consuming Adventure Seals) grants abilities from Rare to Legendary, while Special Training (consuming Gold) grants Epic to Legendary abilities. Pets must meet the minimum grade for the chosen training type and, once started, training cannot be canceled, so players should select pets carefully. Each pet can acquire only one ability, but pets with existing abilities can choose from those they've trained.

Security Division Placement[]

Pets with abilities can be placed in the Security Division to activate their effects, but must be assigned to the correct area (Ranch, Farm, or Dock) based on their ability type. Pets with the same ability cannot be deployed in the same area, and battle-related abilities cannot be used in difficulty-adjusted content (like those using Book of Coordination or Scale of Harmony).

Pet Release System[]

Pets can be released through the Pet Management NPC in the city or stronghold to receive Pet Expertise Potions based on their grade and expertise level. Releasing a pet is permanent and removes it from storage, so it should be done carefully. Players receive one potion per 1,000 expertise levels held by the pet and one potion per 1,000 levels used in pet upgrades. This new ability system enables players to enhance their stronghold capabilities and improve efficiency through their pet companions.

Raid Updates[]

The HP of the bosses in the following raids will be nerfed by 10% to 15%, in both Normal and Hard modes.

Events[]

Voldis Powerpass[]

New Event Powerpass that drop players off in Voldis at Item Level 1540 will be granted to all players. Powerpasses can be claimed and used until December 18, 2024, at which point it will expire if the Powerpass has not been used.

Hyper Awakening Road[]

A new progression event arrives, built to help all types of players reach Tier 4 and Hyper Awakenings. Pairing well with the Voldis Powerpass, the Hyper Awakening Road is available for players to power up a character until January 15, 2025. The Hyper Awakening Road event is built to boost a character from Item Level 1540 to 1620, ready to enter Tier 4 and access Hyper Awakenings. The designated character will have progression boost effects applied and receive caches of rewards as their Item Level progresses, cumulating in a particularly valuable reward at 1620 filled with Tier 4 honing materials, Silver, Gold, T4 level 6 gems, and more. As an additional option, players with a character between Item Levels 1620 and 1640 can still select that character for the Hyper Awakening Road. While they won't receive honing boosts, they can still earn mission rewards and use the materials provided.

Toto's Ice Castle[]

Toto's Ice Castle returns for the frigid months, lasting until the February Update. You can enter the event from major cities. Players will transform into Mokokos when entering the castle. The icy floor tiles will start to break once they are stepped on in a new minigame where players will need to break as many snowflakes as possible by using special skills. You can enter every even hour (2 PM, 4 PM, etc.), and once per roster per day, or earn tokens from clearing Chaos Dungeons, Kurzan Front, or Guardian Raids. Freja Tokens can be spent at the event shop, which has a variety of valuable items and holiday-themed rewards that can be earned! Special event feast items will also be available during the event.

1v1 'Three Champions' Mode Update[]

The following changes have been made to the way Champion Points are consumed:

  • Awakening skill
    • Uses 2 Champion Points instead of 1
  • Champion Buff
    • Obtaining Champion Buff will consume 1 Champion Point instead of 2
    • Champion Buff effect 'Reducing cooldown for all skills except for Awakening, Movement, and Stand Up Skills' will be applied for 3 seconds instead of 4 seconds.
    • Champion Buff now provides maximum of 15% MP recovery effect.
    • Champion Buff will last 3 seconds instead of 1.
      • Players cannot obtain additional Champion Buff while a Champion Buff is already in effect.
  • Removing Status Ailments
    • Status Ailment cannot be removed during the first 0.5 seconds after getting Status Ailment.
