Mounts are ridable objects or animals which you can traverse the world of Lost Ark.
Summary[]
The first Mount can be earned shortly after the prologue during the main quest "Tower Where Light Lingers" upon finishing the quest you can choose one of three horse Mounts (Loghill Black Horse, Yudia White Horse, Dyorika Brown Horse).
Fundamentals of Mounts[]
- Mounts need to be summoned to be ridden, which can have their summoning hotkey added to your Action Bar.
- Certain map zones have key mount restrictions, such as the areas on Tortoyk where you are shrunk down to the size of a Mokoko so only tiny mounts like the Blue Ladybug are permitted.
- One of the available summoning functions in the Mount Catalog is Summon Random Favorite. In the Catalog you can toggle the star to the left of the mount to list it as a Favorite, and when the action is activated you will randomly summon any favorited mount that is allowed within that map zone, which can be a convenient one-stop function for summoning mounts if you favorite at least one available mount for each type of restricted zone (like Tortoyk listed above).
- Different mounts may have different unique skills. Some like Horses can have a quick dash move like your character which is activated via the Spacebar, while others like the Hoverboards may have a 5-second Boost skill.
- Additional mounts past the first horse can be obtained in a variety of ways. Special Event shops, quests and Adventurer's Tome completion ranks are some common sources.
- A number of areas permanently block use of any Mount. This includes but is not limited to any indoor areas of buildings, raids, dungeons and the smaller map islands explored via Sailing.
