Engravings are unique effects that grant various bonuses, such as increased damage, cooldown reduction, improved defense, and utility. They unlock at the start of the East Luterra questline.
There are two types of engravings: combat engravings and negative engravings. Combat engravings grant bonuses, while negative engravings grant maluses.

Engraving Recipes[]
Engraving recipes are generally tradable 1 time before becoming bound to the character.
To read an engraving recipe for a rarity, the player first needs to have read 20 recipes from the previous rarity (Epic > Legendary > Relic).
- For one engraving:
- Reading 5 Epic Engraving Recipe improves the engraving, this can be done 4 times (20 recipes total).
- Reading 5 Legendary Engraving Recipe improves the engraving, this can be done 4 times (20 recipes total).
- Reading 5 Relic Engraving Recipe improves the engraving, this can be done 4 times (20 recipes total).
Ability Stones[]
- Ability Stones grant engraving nodes for 3 different engravings: two random combat engravings and one random negative engraving.
- These Ability Stones need to be faceted before they can be equipped.
- Ability Stones grant bonus engraving effect when they reach 6 / 7 / 9 / 10 nodes, respectively granting level 1 / 2 / 3 / 4 effect on that engraving.
- Bonus effects from Ability Stones are only applied if the corresponding engraving is equipped.
- Negative engraving are applied when they reach 5 / 7 / 10 nodes, respectively granting level 1 / 2 / 3 of that negative effect.
